July House Price Index

The latest July House Price Index from the Land Registry saw house values across England and Wale rise by 1.3% monthly but still 2.1% down year on year.

An increase in London of 1.9% monthly and 1.3% year-on-year was reported, with the average property at £346,416.

In the North east, the average house price was £101,143, this being an 8.8% drop since July last year and a 2.3% drop since June 2010.

The South West saw a large jump in prices up 2.2 per cent but this was still down -1.9 per cent year-on-year.
