Rents up to Record Levels!

Demand has pushed rents up to record high levels during April.  The average cost of renting a home rose by some 0.8%; upto £692, matching the record reached in November according to LSL Property Services.

Rents are now 4.4 per cent a month higher than they were in April last year, the strongest annual growth rate since November 2010; good for Landlords as this is basically matching inflation.

Strong tenant demand, said the group, would continue as would-be buyers are forced to raise the substantial deposits which are currently necessary.
