Easier to Check Your Engineer

As we should all be aware, the responsibility for licensing all gas fitters has now passed to the Gas Safe Register (www.gassaferegister.co.uk). Please see our page regarding Gas Certificates and the Case Studies.

You can now check up online to see whether an engineer is registered.  You may also check to see which appliances they are registered to work on, as some will be qualified for central heating but not gas ovens.

For ease, ask the engineer, prior to him starting, to give you his Gas Safety ID number; simple to then look up on-line.
