Informed Landlords Glossary: HSE

The Health and Safety Executive are responsible for H & S throughout the United Kingdom and make sure that any issues relating to either Health and/or Safety are thoroughly investigated. The H&S Executive can instruct the complete shut down of a premises if it feels that the property is dangerous.

The HSE can and does take those that break the law to court and will prosecute when a dangerous act has occurred.
