Informed Landlords Glossary: Gas Installer

Gas engineers must be registered. The Government issued a ten year contract to Capita Group to register all gas installers; this started on 1st April 2009. This replaces the previous scheme administered by CORGI, and all engineers must be registered with Capita.

When having Gas work carried out, keep a record of when each item was checked, defects found and repaired. Make this record available to the tenants on moving into the property and within 28 days of the annual inspection.
